consul, the follow-up story says the guy was actually arrested. How can this be, if he's a credentialed dip?

@JSM: That's a very good question. The Skeptical Bureaucrat (http://skepticalbureaucrat.blogspot.com/) has been following this situation; apparently there's disagreement between our embassy and the Pak govt as to whether Davis has immunity (http://skepticalbureaucrat.blogspot.com/2011/02/raymond-daviss-diplomatic-immunity.html).
